ABOUT
JYOTSNA
"A good teacher remains a student for life"

Jyotsna Sistla has been dedicated Yoga practitioner for nearly a decade. As she navigated the corporate world, yoga emerged as her steadfast ally. It evolved into her sanctuary, fostering holistic well-being, sharpening her focus, offering clarity amid the chaos of work & life. Moments of introspection & self-exploration on her mat became a haven where she found answers and solutions within herself, transcending the challenges of day-to-day life.

Gofindyourself Yoga is her medium for sharing the profound impact of the practice. It's an invitation to explore within, transcending the boundaries that confine us all.
Jyotsna's practice journey
I explored various yoga forms for a several years before completing a 200hrs Teacher Training Course to deepen my understanding. Discovering my love for teaching, I navigated life's transitions, balancing it with my corporate job. Along the way, Ashtanga yoga beckoned me and has become my steadfast practice and sadhana. Over the years, I committed to a disciplined practice, culminating in a transformative journey to Mysore, India, in 2023. Under the guidance of R Sharath Jois, grandson of the late Sri K Pattabhi Jois, I delved deeper into my practice.
My purpose extends beyond personal growth; it's a commitment to perpetual learning and evolution—both as a devoted student and a dedicated teacher. Teaching, for me, is a profound act of sharing the love I have for this practice and the metamorphosis it unfolds in individuals. It's about creating space for acceptance, personal growth, presenting challenges, and inspiring others to recognise their innate potential through the practice. Teaching is a continuous practice, and on this journey, I remain a student forever.

Qualifications & Practice
I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) accredited by the Yoga Alliance (US).

I have successfully completed a 200-hour Teacher Training Program, drawing from traditional methodologies such as Hatha (Bihar School of Yoga) and Ashtanga (Vinyasa), as well as modern approaches like Iyengar Yoga. This comprehensive course integrated ancient Indian wisdom found in texts like Patanjali's Yoga Sutras and the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, along with insights from Ayurveda and modern anatomy. It has equipped me with a holistic understanding of yoga's therapeutic applications, lifestyle principles, and dietary practices.

Through this program, I delved deep into the traditional practices of Yoga Asana, Pranayama, Yogic Philosophy, and Diet, which I've successfully incorporated into contemporary life.

I strongly believe in the importance of learning from experienced practitioners and staying connected with a community (Sangha). I've had the opportunity to study with some of the finest teachers to continually enrich my knowledge and practice.
